Hello dear friends,
As February begins, I’ve been feeling the invitation to slow down — to pay attention to what God is doing beneath the surface rather than rushing to produce or perform. This season has been quieter for me, but not empty. If anything, it has been full of gentle becoming.
I wanted to take a moment to share a few reflections and pieces with you — not as a list of updates, but as an invitation to pause, listen, and sit with God wherever you are.
Marking One Year of Stories of Faith & Grace
Recently, I shared a short sit-down video reflecting on one year of Stories of Faith & Grace. It’s not a polished celebration, but an honest moment of looking back — at obedience, growth, uncertainty, and grace.
If you’ve been part of this journey for a while, thank you. And if you’re newer here, this is simply a glimpse into the heart behind SFG.
Learning to Listen — Mary, Martha & Samuel
In Episode 27, I reflected on a familiar passage through a quieter lens — Mary and Martha, and Samuel as a boy learning to recognise God’s voice. Lately, I’ve been thinking about how easily attention becomes divided, even in good things, and how gently God calls us back to listening.
This episode is an invitation to notice where our focus rests, and what it might look like to choose attentiveness again.
A Written Space for Slower Reflections
Alongside video and audio, I’ve also created a written home — EmemAbasi — a place where reflections can live more slowly and be returned to over time. Some thoughts feel better read than watched, and this space allows room for that kind of quiet engagement.
If you enjoy written reflections, you can visit and read the latest post here:
As you move through February, my prayer is that you won’t feel rushed — that you’ll notice where God is already present, and allow grace to meet you there.
“Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.” — 1 Samuel 3:10
With love and gratitude,
Emem
